Built by the Community, for the Community
The Muslim community of Nottingham helped to purchase land in 1976 to construct the first purpose built central mosque in Nottingham. With limited funds and a deep desire to seek the pleasure of Allah, the initial phase of the mosque was completed in March of 1992. Since then, as the size of the Muslim community has continued to grow, the mosque has also expanded to be able to accommodate for the community’s needs by providing essential religious, spiritual and educational services.

ICN Alimiyyah Programme
Providing traditional Islamic knowledge
Much of the modern world is built on the outstanding achievements in knowledge made by great Muslim minds. The ICN Alimiyyah programme seeks to revive this great tradition of knowledge whilst contextualising it for seekers in the UK. An incredibly vast range of subjects will be taught, including Arabic language, Aristotelian logic, Philosophy, Theology, Islamic Law and legal theory, Spirituality, Quranic Exegesis, and Hadith disciplines. All of this combined is designed to illuminate the mind of the seeker to become a true inheritor of the Prophet’s legacy.

Burial with respect and dignity
To serve the community’s needs, we have built a modern Ghusl facility for the proper Islamic washing and preparation of the deceased. This essential service ensures that our loved ones are cared for with the utmost dignity and respect according to Islamic traditions.
nikah service
Get married in accordance to the Sunnah
Our marriage and Nikah services are conducted within the masjid, offering couples a unique and sacred experience surrounded by centuries of Islamic heritage. We provide a serene and blessed environment for the solemnization of Nikah, ensuring that this sacred union is held in the presence of history and faith.
We are registered Nottingham Council and a registrar can attend the Nikah. We can also arrange catering.

Supporting Those in Need
As part of our commitment to community welfare, our doors are always open. No one should be lonely, and through this initiative, we aim to support those facing mental hardship.
Daily Prayers
A space for everyone
Islamic Centre Nottingham is open for all daily prayers and hosts Jummah (Friday) prayers, welcoming the community to come together in worship and reflection.
The mosque features a separate ladies’ prayer area with its own entrance, ensuring comfort, privacy, and accessibility.

Islamic studies and Qur'an classes for children
We aim to provide Qur’an and Islamic Studies classes for children, including Hifz and Alim courses. Education is an essential service to be provided for the community and we endeavour to provide the very best. This service will be coming soon in shaa Allah.
Prayer Hall
A large prayer hall with a mezzanine floor. It’s enough to accomodate for up to 1,000 people.
Womens Hall
A dedicated women’s prayer area and entrance, providing a comfortable and accessible space for female worshippers.
Reflection Area
An area to sit, reflect, pray or read Qur’an. The masjid promotes engaging in the remembrance of Allah.
Funeral Hall
We have a dedicated funeral hall with purpose-built ghusl facilities and materials.
