Booking your Nikkah (Islamic Marriage) ceremony

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Islamic Centre Nottingham can facilitate and host nikkah ceremonies. Allah (Ta’ala) says in Surah Ar-Rum: “And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.” (Quran 30:21) There are a number of things to be taken into consideration before one can arrange a Nikkah such as:

1. Mutual consent from both the bride and groom for the Nikkah
2. Two male adults as witnesses who will be present

3. Mahr – The marriage-gift (Mahr) Nikkah/Marriage will only be conducted after procedures are correctly followed and all of the correct details are provided in the form below. Once you have completed the form below, the bride and groom must submit two forms of photo ID (passport, driving license, etc) to info@islamiccentrenottingham.org If anybody has been married previously and divorced, you will need to submit evidence of the divorce to info@islamiccentrenottingham.org Please select an available date from the Nikkah booking calendar below, then select a time slot, then answer all of the questions below, then please click on submit, once your application has been reviewed, you will receive a confirmation email.

The cost of the Nikkah will be £250, once your Nikkah date has been reviewed, please make the payment using the link at the bottom of the page, the Nikkah will be confirmed once the payment has been made.

Things To Note for Visitors Dress

As a religious institution and place of worship, male and female visitors are requested to observe modest dress. When visiting the carpeted prayer areas, shoes will need to be removed.

We request all attendees of the Nikkah ceremony to dress modestly i.e. clothing that fully covers arms and legs and females should wear a headscarf.
